Be met by your safari guide at Entebbe international airport for the start your 14 days Uganda safari with Hikes & primates. This first day you are taken to the hotel in Kampala to relax after the flight and be ready for an early start tomorrow.

We leave Kampala in the early morning to set off towards the lodge by Kibale Forest. We target to have lunch in Fortportal town and proceed for an evening around in the Tropical forest. Pressure and fatigue is lessened as a punctuation of stopovers at sceneries, typical African village setup in the far countryside and tea plantations along the drive offer us chances of stretching. When entering the Kibale area we keep our eyes open since there is an amazing display of primates in this area. Monkey species that can be seen are for example black and white colobus, red colobus, red tailed monkey and grey cheeked mangabeys.
Overnight Isunga Lodge.
Head into the forest of the Primate city of Kibale in the morning for chimpanzee trekking, the first great ape you will meet during this 14 days Uganda safari. Kibale Forest national park is a rainy forest and a home to over 1500 Chimpanzees. Here you have the chance to see the chimps close up and capture shots of our closet cousins in the jungle in there frenzy exciting moods as they are grooming, building relationships, bringing up young ones, think and sharing food, plus rare bird species following them. In the forest 9 different species of Monkeys are found so you have chances of seeing red colobus, red tailed monkey and bush babies on a great day. After the trek your guide picks you and takes you to the foothills of Rwenzori mountain to spend the night.
Overnight Trekkers Hostel.
Get to the briefing and start the hike inthe Rwenzori mountians in the morning. This days hike goes through the Afro montane forest zone with a steady climb for about 6 kilometers. You then continue along a steep ridge towards Sine hut. Close to the hut the beautiful Enock waterfalls are found.
Overnight Sine Hut (2596 meters).
This day you enter the Bamboo zone and head to Kalalama camp. At the camp you stop for a short rest then climb high before crossing a thick forest covered with hanging mosses to a small lobelia garden. You then descend through a mossy ridge to Samalira camp where the night is spent.
Overnight Samalira camp (3174 meters).
We have reached the last day of the Rwenzori mountains hike and descend down through the Bamboo zone on to a heavily forest ridge. Here we can find many primates such as black and white Columbus monkeys if we are lucky. Continue down to the base camp as we have finished this part of the 14 days Uganda safari. Your guide picks you at the base camp and you make the journey to the lodge at the edge of Queen Elizabeth national park.
Overnight Pumba Safari Cottages.
Enjoy a relaxed morning at the lodge taking in the view over Queen Elizabeth NP as you rest from the Rwenzori hike. Have lunch at the lodge and then get ready for the Classic highlights on the 2hrs Boat cruise on the famous Kazinga channel at 3pm, this is a 36kms channel linking Lake George – Lake Edward. Here you can see land and water Adapted Hippopotamuses Yawning and some slashing canines to each other and the National Geographical society Killing machine the Nile Crocodile gaping along the Banks and Savannah version of Pigs the Warthog- Pumba of the award winning Lion King are a hallmark sign in this Animal home of Mamaland Uganda. With your Binoculars along the peninsula you have a magnificent view of Birds and animals like the ever playing African Elephants in Waters as we sigh and reset Fatigue and stress, to point zero.

Experience Queen Elizabeth National Park in the cool morning, an early game drive that exposes us to diverse animals, Big 5 members Elephants, Buffalos, big cats- Lions, Leopards more times in the evening, warthogs- Hunchback carnivals like Hyenas and many more species that are residents to this park are spotted along the Circuits as we drive along. There is a rich bird life especially our version of storks in the wetland spots as we reach the Flamingoes in the salt lakes. After the game-drive we head southwards to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth NP, known for tree-climbing lions. We have lunch at the lodge by Ishasha, relax a bit and then head out for an afternoon game-drive for topis, buffaloes, elephants and hopefully a good sighting of tree-climbing lions.

After a relaxed breakfast we start the journey to the mountains of Bwind. This journey offers stunning views as we transfer from a landscape of savanna, via cultivated hills to the forest covered mountains of Bwindi. Have lunch and then take a Batwa community walk to see how this indigenous people used to live in the forest. Then you can relax at the lodge in the evening and get rady for tomorrows gorilla trek.
Overnight in Buhoma Community Rest Camp.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the home to the forest giants that are cousins to human beings, the mountain gorillas, and here you will have one of the highlight of this 14 days Uganda safari; the gorilla trekking. In the morning you head into the jungle in a group with a specialized guide and trek up to the point where the gorillas are. You then get to spend one hour with these gentle giants. This Impenetrable Forest is as well full of birds, butterfly and plant species plus forest hog, forest elephants, statungas and dikers. After the trek your guide picks you and make the drive to Lake Bunyonyi, which is offers beautiful scenic nature and a chance for a swim (safe here since there is no bilharzia).

Enjoy a free morning by the lake with a shortlist of possible activities such as swimming, hiking, canoeing and visiting other islands. (Activities this morning are optional and not included in the price.) After lunch we then make the short journey to the town Kisoro to spend the night.
Overnight Travellers Rest.
In the early morning we drive to Mgahinga Gorilla NP where you head for a volcano hike of Mt Mgahinga. The hike to the top of the volcano and down again takes around six hours and you get to see lovely scenery, impressive views as well as giant lobelia and bamboo forest. After the hike your guide takes you back to the hotel for some well deserved rest.

This morning we head over to Mgahinga Gorilla NP ones again, this time to trek the golden monkeys. You go into the forest with a specialised guide and trek to search for the golden monkeys. After the trek your guide picks you to make the drive over to Rwanda and its capital Kigali where the last night of this 14 days Uganda safari will be spent.

Your guide takes you to Kigali airport in time for your flight. If time allows it is possible to make a visit to the genocide memorial centre in Kigali to learn about the countries sad resent history. Be dropped at the airport at the end of a memorable journey.
